I wrote the story at the top of the list in 2020, for the University of Washington home page. The piece closed out a $6 billion giving campaign. A shorter version was reprinted in the Winter 2020 University of Washington Magazine because UW Advancement leadership felt that the story was compelling and that it successfully illustrated how philanthropy benefits students.

The other cover stories and articles I wrote for ‘mo Magazine, a Seattle publication aimed at the city’s LGBTQ+ community. To write “Genderfluid,” I interviewed 11 people and did a ton of research. A professor at Antioch University reprinted my story for her Gender Studies class reading packet.

The article I most enjoyed writing is about a roller derby team that’s part of the Rat City Roller Girls.
